Recipe Swap Tuesday: Grilling

Summer time is upon us! Or in the case of us who live in Southern California, Summer never really left! Grilling is one of my favorite things to do, and we do it often during the summer time. I decided that the recipes I was going to share were sauces that I use all the time! Super delicious and can be used on any meat

Homemade BBQ sauce - a favorite on ribs!!
In a 2 -3 quart pot, over medium heat, add:
1/4 c olive oil and 4 cloves minced garlic. Stir until golden (about 4 minutes)
Stir in (stir well)
1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c red wine vinegar
1/2 c chicken broth
1/4 c tomato paste
3tbsp. soy sauce
2tsp. dry mustard

Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium. Heat until reduced (about 15 minutes).

Homemade Terriyaki - a favorite on chicken, pork, tri tip etc..
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup soy sauce
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. freshly grated ginger
dash of hot chili oil (optional)

Combine all ingredients and mix well!

-------------------------------------------------------

Not-So-Secret BBQ Sauce from Hungry Girl - something I use when I don't have time for the other one!
1/4 c caned tomato sauce
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tsp brown sugar (not packed)
2 tsp cider vinegar
1/2 tsp garlic powder

Combine and mix!

Hi Anna! You can post any recipe you want, but kind of keep it in the theme of grilling. Maybe a cool summer salad, or a marinade, or veggies! Anything you want :)
